Paris-Roubaix 2007

It is still summer, right?? Somehow in my mind, when the end of August comes we start the Fall. Officially of course that is Sept 21, and Winter officially starts December 21, and yada yada yada. For me, its Fall from this Friday until November 30. December marks Winter! April marks Spring, and June marks Summer. Here in the desert regions of Arizona we have Summer and Winter. By that measure its still summer - big time. But, I digress...the point of this feeling is that our BOOKING season is mostly over now for Europe cycling and hiking save those last minute requests we will handle for the next 30 days. So, it is time to work on 2007; and we actually started last Spring! So now, I can announce that we have our Spring Classics Cycling Tour ready, made up around Paris-Roubaix; the price is better than ever, and the experience...well, they don't call it "mud, sweat, and gears" fer nuttin!

meet in the City of Lights, Paris, and at our centrally located 3 star comfort hotel in the center of the city. (D)

April 13: Transfer to North-France for a warm-up ride on the first part of Paris-Roubaix. The official stage is about 260 km long, note that the 100 last kilometers are the most exciting and that there are four very important and strategic places in the race : the Forest of Arenberg (2,4km long – cobblestones – above an old mine) , Orchies (1,7km long), “le Carrefour de l’Arbre (2,1km long) and the “vélodrome” in Roubaix, finish of the race. Friday is the classic preparation day for the Pro teams. Let’s try to catch the wheel of some famous cyclists and sample the pre-race atmosphere. Dinner & accommodation in Roubaix or Lille *** (B, L, D)
